DAV Centenary Public School Una opened its portals in 1986 and the Directorate of Education, Himachal Pradesh Shimla had issued a letter of NOC on June 1986.It was affiliated to CBSE on May 1987. The extension of affiliation is up to 31-3-2028 having affiliation no 630028. It is a co-educational, English medium, Senior Secondary public school' known for its quality results in academics and sports. It is largest CBSE affiliated DAV institution of HP having more than 1850 students. The school is housed in a magnificent triple storey building situated on Nangal-Una road about one km from main bus stand. Newly constructed modern junior wing with play way equipments caters to the requirements of tiny tots.

There is a great thrust to distinguish knowledge from information and to perceive teaching as a professional activity, not as coaching for memorization. This school has made every attempt to empower the teachers accordingly so that the curriculum transaction, truly reflects the shift in educational paradigm. The school provides the best routes for entering the IITs, Medical & Engineering colleges and other professional courses. Genesis:

The History of DAV School, Una dates back to 1911. It is the oldest DAV institution in the state. Right from the establishment the school students have excelled in academics, sports and co-curricular activities. Students are trained for life to be high achievers and good human beings.

Management:

The school is under D.A.V College Managing Committee New Delhi which is largest private educational organization in the country managing more than 750 educational institutions. DAV was founded in 1886 to spread modern quality education blended with Vedic Thoughts. LMC of the school has been constituated by DAMCMC New Delhi. Justice Pritam Pal(Retd.) is the Chairman, Sh. Balwinder  singh is the Vice chairman, Sh. Ravinder Talwar is the Manager of the school. The term of present LMC is till December 2025.
