DAV High School, Nagarjunasagar is a project school of TS GENCO established in the year 2005 to cater to the educational needs of the employees of the Hydel Power Project, Nagarjunasagar. The School is managed by DAV College Managing Committee through Mr. G R K Prasad, Asst. Regional Officer, Telangana Zone. It is located on the left bank of River Krishna nestled in the green lap of nature with a strikingly scenic water body in the vicinity of Nagarajunasagar Dam.
From its modest beginning as a primary school up to Class V in 2005 with about 124 students and 9 teachers, DAV High School has been engaged in a steady process of developing individual talent and the holistic growth of every student. With the growing clamour of local residents for admission, it has now burgeoned up to Class X with 513 students and 19 teachers. The school has carved a niche for itself by producing 100% results in State Board examination year after year despite of the School’s rustic locale.
The school’s purpose, aim and drive are to imbibe in the child the skills and values essential to face the challenges of the increasingly competitive modern complex world with a humane approach.
