The D.A.V. Schools, are directly managed by the D.A.V. College Trust and Management Society, New Delhi with the goodwill and co-operation of the local intelligentsia under the able guidance and leadership of a band of devoted Principals and their colleagues. D.A.V. Model School, is situated in the verdant Campus of IIT Kharagpur and is affiliated to C.B.S.E., New Delhi. Built on more than three acres of land having spacious, airy and well-lighted class rooms from Nursery to Class XII the school campus takes pride in having a large play ground with various sports facilities including a Basketball Court. There are well-equipped rooms especially for Music, Dance, Art and Craft. In recent years, the School’s infrastructure has seen the coming up of a new Primary Section Block for Kindergarten classes. A new G+3 block, for accommodating the Secondary and Senior Secondary classes with the state of the art Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer laboratories has also come up.
The medium of instruction of the school is English. Other languages taught are Hindi, Sanskrit and Bengali.
