MISSION STATEMENT
TO PROVIDE HOLISTIC EDUCATION HAVING HARMONIOUS BLEND OF VEDIC CULTURE, SCIENTIFIC APPROACH AND COMMUNICATION, SOCIAL & EMOTIONAL SKILLS WITH MORE EMPHASIS ON PROJECT BASED AND ENTERPRISE LEARNING TECHNOLOGY OF GLOBAL STANDARDS.
DAV Rihand Nagar was established in the year 1992 with collaboration of National Thermal Power Corporation with an aim to provide quality education to wards of NTPC, CISF and nearby rural population. The sponsoring Company NTPC meets the short fall amount in running the school and also its proper maintenance. School got affiliation with CBSE, Delhi upto Secondary level inthe year 1992 and upto Senior Secondary level (Science stream) in 1994. Later,on demand of local people it got affiliation for Commerce in 1998 and Arts in the year 2012. At present, there are nearly 900 students with 34 teachers & 09 supporting staff. Since its inception, the school has been giving appreciable board results. The students perform well in games/sports activities & bringlaurels to the school. Our students are regularly getting selections in reputed engineering & medical colleges. Many students of school are rendering their excellent services outside India.
