DAV Public School, SAIL-RMD, Gua, West Singhbhum approx 85 KMs away from its Head Quarter, Chaibasa, district West Singhbhum, is one of the beauties of Jharkhand. Under a keen observation and educational shade of D.A.V College Managing Committee, New Delhi, a notable educational giant of the country, is situated at the foot of dense forest, is blessed with pristine nature’s beauty environment. The school has a long eventful history to speak. It was started in the year 16.09.1992 at Near Football Ground, Gua a particular place at Gua with only 37 numbers of students up to std. I. 

Teachers were assigned an uphill task to groom up the students to make an English medium environment as all the beginners enrolled were from purely Hindi and tribal background. As the place is nestled at a far-flung area of Jharkhand, the establishment of the school was a ray of hope in the life of the tribal people as well as the SAIL employees. The school is get affiliated up to class X from CBSE, New Delhi on 01.04.1998 and up to class XII on 01.04.2006 with Arts and Commerce Stream.

The school which is fully sponsored by the SAIL-RMD, Gua Ore Mines gave a full view over it and provided an impressive building with a massive campus in 06.12.1991 to cater all the educational development of the children. The sponsoring body as per the agreement facilitated the school with all necessities to have up to Sr. secondary education.

DAV Gua has been rendering a yeoman service not only in the field of education but also in co-curricular activities of value education, computer education and sports activities have been a part and parcel to bring all round development of its students.

The school has been excelling in games and sports not only at zonal level but also at national level in the events organized through MHRAT / DAV National Sports. A good number of our students have already been serving our country in various dignified posts as well as a considerable numbers are enrolled in different prestigious recognized institutes. Our specialties lie in imparting quality education and honouring various skills not only to the children of SAIL employees but also the backward tribal people’s children.

We feel proud to be acclaimed by many eminent personalities for evolving a true spirit of learning, a sense of patriotic feelings of sportsmanship, outstanding approach of conduct and discipline among our students. As it is a central and attractive place in Gua the school has a special privilege and pleasure to welcome a number of ministers of Jharkhand, officials of paramilitary forces as well as SAIL authorities from Delhi, Kolkata, on many occasions at regular interval.

The school plays an active role in mass immunization programme and other such social welfare campaign. It is a unit of CBSE, it has been participating and imparting training to the students on the path of human welfare, pollution control programme etc. No doubt, the school has successfully marched a long educational journey.
